SPIN Kano State
Implementing national goals for local impact in the heart of Northern Nigeria's agriculture.
Our Mandate in Kano
The SPIN Kano State Project Coordinating Office (SPCO) is tasked with the direct implementation and oversight of all project activities within Kano State. Our primary mandate is to translate the national objectives of SPIN into tangible results for the farmers and communities of Kano.
This involves the strategic rehabilitation of the Kano River Irrigation Project (KRIP) and Hadejia Valley Irrigation Project (HVIP), improving the structural integrity and operational effectiveness of the Tiga and Challawa Gorge dams, and fostering the growth of self-sustaining Water User Associations (WUAs). We work in close collaboration with state ministries, local government authorities, and community leaders to ensure our interventions are effective, inclusive, and sustainable.
State Implementation Structure
Our team in Kano is structured to ensure efficient project delivery, robust monitoring, and transparent governance. The State Project Coordinating Office, led by the State Project Coordinator, oversees all technical, fiduciary, and administrative aspects of SPIN-Kano.
